First Real Estate Social Hour
Back and building for the future
FRESH PDX began in 2013 for the purpose of gathering members of the local commercial real estate industry to provide cross-networking opportunities in a large-scale event format.
Between 2013 and 2020, this evolved into a “Super” networking event held each January as the first social event of the calendar year, bringing together professionals from the full spectrum of the industry; Architects, real estate attorneys, brokers, contractors, developers, lenders, marketing professionals, policy makers, property managers, students, and more.
The event is planned each year by volunteers from affiliated associations in the Portland and SW Washington chapters of BOMA, CREW, ICSC, IREM, NAIOP, ULI, SMPS, CAI, NARPM and CCIM.
In 2022, First Real Estate Social Hour returned from a pandemic hiatus as a newly formed 501(C)6 non-profit entity, to “RE”FRESH the industry with an August 2022 relaunch event. The event returned to the annual January format in 2023.
FRESH - Giving back to the community
This year FRESH has partnered with the local, non-profit “Partners in Diversity.” Their mission is “To create economic prosperity in Oregon and southwest Washington by working with employers to attract, retain, and develop professionals of color and diversity influencers.” A portion of all FRESH’s ticket sales will go towards this critical work.
Partners in Diversity (PiD) works with employers to address critical needs for achieving and empowering a workforce that reflects the rapidly changing demographics of the Pacific Northwest. We accomplish these goals through educational programs, a career center and resources for CEOs, human resources professionals and diversity influencers. PiD also helps recently relocated professionals of color connect with the multicultural community through major networking events such as our signature Say Hey! event, civic engagement opportunities, social media and personal relationships.
